WELCOME TO THESE NEW MEMBERS FOR 2014-2015:

Lindenburg Industries Coming to Appomattox

Lindenburg Industries is a new manufacturer who is the new owner of the former Thomasville Furniture Industries facility in Appomattox.  The November 5 public announcement indicated that 349 new jobs will be created at the plant.

Since there is plenty of interest in employment with Lindenburg Industries, please note that the hiring process won't begin until closer to March.  Hiring notices will be shared in local media and at area community colleges.  For more details, read the recent Times-Virginian article, and read the News & Advance article.

The Chamber will update this information as needed to help those in the community who are interested in securing employment with Lindenburg Industries.

Appomattox Cheerz

JUST ANNOUNCED -- To kick off the April 10th Sesquicentennial Cheerz event, SHAKY GRASS will perform on the Abbitt Memorial Park stage from 5:30pm to 6:45pm!  Shaky Grass will perform a mix of bluegrass and Civil War era music in keeping with the Sesquicentennial commemoration.

Then, we will turn the stage over to DJ SPIN who will turn Cheerz into a dance party!  You don't want to miss this event.

The Chamber is currently accepting Corporate Sponsorship applications for 2015!  Sponsorships help to fund the Appomattox Cheerz concert fundraisers so we need your help!  There are 4 levels of sponsorship available.  Download the form here.

If you are interested in being a Cheerz volunteer, please let us know. Thanks for your support!
